Cooking chicken baked with lemon:

Step 1: prepare the chicken carcass.

First of all, I would like to note that whole chicken should not be baked. And so we boldly take the knife and, having previously washed the chicken carcass, we cut it into pieces. What size these pieces will be - decide for yourself, I’ll just say that the smaller the piece, the faster it will be marinated. It is advisable to remove the bones, but, in principle, as you wish. When I cooked this dish, I removed the bones.

Step 2: pickle the chicken.

Chicken meat is placed in a dish for pickling. Then we cut the lemons into halves, then even finer and squeeze the juice from them directly into the meat, preferably with the squeeze, crush the meat with your hands. This will help absorb lemon juice faster. We put honey in a clean bowl and set on fire. Melt it to a liquid state and pour chicken meat on top of it. Salt and pepper, respectively, to taste. You can even put squeezed lemon slices to the meat. Leave for at least 40-60 minutes. It can be longer.

Step 3: bake the chicken.

Brush a baking sheet with vegetable oil, spread the pickled chicken meat on it. The marinade, which remains, is not necessary to add to the pan, he has already done his job. Alternatively, you can put a few slices of lemon in a baking sheet. Then, just a little grease the meat with sour cream and place the baking sheet with the meat in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. We bake it for long. For example, I always do this: first at 200 degrees, bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 175 and keep it in the oven for another 20 minutes. I would like to note that sour cream is a rather insidious ingredient when baking. It can easily burn. Therefore, as soon as you see that it changes its light color to brown, cover the meat with foil and put it in the oven again.

Step 4: serve to the table.

As soon as our chicken is ready, lay the meat on plates and serve to the table. You can serve as a meat side dish to boiled young potatoes with herbs. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - Of course, everyone uses the purchased chicken carcass, but my advice is to try to get a homemade carcass and see how the taste of the dish changes.

- - As an option, an electric grill can also be used. The baking procedure in it does not differ at all from the classical one.
