Ingredients for making pita rolls

Preparation of pita rolls:

Step 1: preparing a gas station.

First of all, prepare a dressing, open a jar of cream cheese and transfer its contents to a deep bowl. Then we wash green onions, parsley, basil leaves and green salad under cold running water. Shake the greens over the sink from excess liquid, alternately lay the fragrant herbs on a cutting board and cut the onion into small rings up to 2 - 3 millimeters thick.

Finely chop the parsley.

Cut basil into thin strips.

We shift the whole cut into a bowl with cream cheese.

We introduce salt and ground black pepper to taste there. Then we take a lemon, cut it with a knife into 2 halves and squeeze 1 teaspoon of citrus juice into a bowl with cheese and herbs.

With the help of a silicone kitchen spatula, we mix all the ingredients until smooth, the dressing is ready. Set the bowl aside and proceed to the second step.

Step 2: prepare ham, carrots, cucumber and salad leaves.

We cut each leaf of green salad into 2 halves so that 6 pieces are obtained, put them in a separate plate and set the container aside, they will be needed later. Peel the carrots and wash them together with cucumbers under cold running water from sand and any other contaminants. We dry vegetables with paper kitchen towels, thus getting rid of excess water. Then we arm ourselves with a mandolin grater and with it we chop the vegetables with a thin straw, directly onto paper kitchen towels, first carrots.

Well, then chop the cucumbers. Now we re-dry the chopped vegetables with paper kitchen towels in order to remove the juice released during the slicing. After we remove the packaging from the ham, put it on a clean cutting board, take a clean kitchen knife for slicing sausages and cut the meat ingredient in layers up to 2 - 3 millimeters thick. We lay out all the slices in separate deep plates.

Step 3: form the rolls.

All the ingredients are prepared, it's time to shape the rolls. We print the package with round pita bread and put 1 piece on a cutting board. Divide the dressing into 6 equal parts by eye, do the same with all the other products that will be needed to prepare this dish. Using a tablespoon, transfer 1 part of the aromatic curd mixture to pita bread.

Evenly distribute the dressing with a kitchen knife around the entire perimeter of the flour product.

Now we spread 1 part of ham on the middle of pita bread.

Put 1 part carrot on top of the meat ingredient.

Then on the sides we spread 1 part of the cucumber straws and on top on all these delicious products we put half the salad leaf.

Turn lavash tight roll, as much as possible. In the same way, we form the remaining rolls.

Step 4: cool the rolls.

The resulting rolls are wrapped in plastic wrap so that they do not lose their shape.

We put almost ready-made rolls in a plastic container, close the container with a tight-fitting lid and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. During this time, the rolls are saturated with cheese and the aroma of greens, will become softer and more tender.

Step 5: bring the dish to full readiness.

After 1 hour or 20 minutes before serving, we take out a container with rolls from the refrigerator. Alternately, we remove the polyethylene food ribbon from each, put a “miracle tube” on a cutting board and cut each roll into 4 parts.

Vegetables will peek out from the two extreme parts of the rolls, if you wish, you can cut them or leave the rolls in this form, this will give them a certain charming charm. We put the rolls on a large flat dish with the slices up and serve as a snack to the table.

Step 6: serve the rolls of pita bread.

Lavash rolls are served chilled as an appetizer to main courses. This aromatic dish can be supplemented with homemade mayonnaise, cream or tomato sauces, which can be served in gravy boats or in separate small bowls. The taste of the rolls is very rich, fresh, with the pleasant softness that the cheese layer gives. Light aperitifs like champagne, wines, and liquors are suitable for this dish. Fans of soft drinks can enjoy juices with a neutral taste, such as banana, pineapple or grape juice. Enjoy it!

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of ham, you can use any sausages or boiled, baked, fried meat of any kind.

- At the request of the above greens, you can add a couple of branches of cilantro and dill, as well as put a few slices of avocado in each roll, these ingredients will diversify the taste range and add their own flavor to the aroma of the dish.

- Instead of food-grade plastic film, aluminum food-grade foil or plastic bags can be used.
