Rice casserole

Ingredients for Cooking Rice Casserole

  3. Milk (any fat content) 2 cups

  6. Raisins 50 gr.
  7. Butter 1 tbsp. a spoon
  8. Starch 1 tbsp. a spoon
  9. Vanilla essence to taste
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Semolina or bread crumbs for sprinkling to taste

Cooking rice casseroles:

Step 1: Boil fig.

Rice groats are washed under cold running water. 5-6 times until the water ceases to be cloudy and becomes transparent. Pour washed rice into a saucepan, pour water and cook over low heat. 10 minutes. After that, drain the remaining water, fill the rice with milk, salt and cook 25 minutesstirring constantly. After that, remove the rice from the stove and let it cool.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients.

We wash the raisins in cold water and pour boiling water for a few minutes so that it steams and swells. Then we drain the water. Add starch to raisins and mix thoroughly. Squirrels are separated from the yolks. To do this, take two bowls. We put one of them in front of us and with a careful clear movement break the egg in the middle on the edge of the bowl, and then break the shell into halves. Pour the yolk from one shell to another until the protein has completely separated and is in a bowl. Put the yolk in another bowl. Add to the yolks 2 tablespoons of sugar, vanilla essence and a couple of tablespoons of warm milk. Rub the mixture thoroughly with a fork or whisk until foam appears. We mix the boiled cooled rice, raisins and whipped yolks to a homogeneous consistency. Mix the egg whites with the remaining sugar and beat with a whisk or mixer until a thick white foam appears.

Step 3: Bake the rice casserole.

Now we take a baking dish, grease it with butter, sprinkle with semolina or breadcrumbs. Rice quickly mix with whipped proteins and pour the mixture into the mold. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and put the casserole there. Bake 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Step 4: Serve the rice casserole.

Ready-made casserole can be served both hot and cold. Serve the casserole cut into portions with jam, sour cream, condensed milk or honey. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - You can not add vanilla essence if you do not like vanilla.

- - Casserole toppings can be different - apples, bananas, dried fruits and so on.

- - If desired, pudding before baking can be sprinkled with cinnamon.

- - It is preferable to take round-grain rice, since it is better boiled.
